2013 Black Hills Seminars - Reclaiming Youth Conference

It's a Reclaiming Reunion!

Recharge your spirit in the inspriational setting in the Black Hills of South Dakota.   Join us for our 20th Annual Black Hills Seminars Reclaiming Youth Conference June 22-24, 2013.

The Reclaiming Youth Conference offers practical skills for success with our most challenging children and youth. Presentations will tackle the difficult issues of youth violence, classroom discipline, racism, substance abuse, families in crisis, and development of support systems. The conference is grounded in resilience research showing that inner strengths and external supports are essential for positive youth development.

We have so many wonderful memories from the Black Hills Seminars over the past 20 years.  We have grown and changed, yet in the spirit of belonging, mastery, independence, and generosity, we remain committed to providing the best training for all who work with youth.  For this monumental year, we want to welcome you back to where it all started.

The preliminary schedule is attached at the bottom of this page, which includes workshop descriptions.

Note: A separate ½-day Circle of Courage® workshop will also be offered on the morning of June 22,2013 (separate registration fee is required).  The Circle of Courage workshop offers an in-depth exploration of the Circle of Courage philosophy in an intimate setting with the founders Drs. Larry Brendtro, Martin Brokenleg, and Steve Van Bockern. Additional pre-conference trainings such as RAP, Developmental Audit, and LSCI will be offered the week before the conference.
