Circle of Courage®

Reclaiming Youth International is pleased to present An Introduction to the Circle of Courage® as a one-day workshop.  If you and your organization would like to learn more about the Circle of Courage philosphy, this is an excellent place to start!

The Circle of Courage workshop draws on early youth-work pioneers, Native tribal wisdom, coupled with youth development research with outlines of the four essential elements every child needs in order to flourish and thrive: belonging, mastery, independence, and generosity.

This workshop presents innovative approaches for building relationships with youth, fostering their self-esteem, and instilling positive values in classroom, residential treatment, counseling, and correctional settings.

Optional College Credit

Participants can enroll for undergraduate or graduate workshop college credit in either Psychology or Special Education.  Registration forms will be provided at the training.  The course syllabus will be available on the Reclaiming Youth website, www.reclaiming.com (Click College Credit in the left hand column).  Payment for graduate credit is billed through Reclaiming Youth and given to the instructor at the training. College credit is offered through Reclaiming Youth and Augustana College in the U.S.

The Circle of Courage workshop is open to the public at Reclaiming Youth Seminar locations listed on the Seminars link on this website.  RAP is also available as a private training for your group or organization.  To learn more, contact seminars@reclaiming.com or Wendy Beukelman at 605-647-2532.
